This coin is an Irish Millennium Pound issued for the year 2000. This example is a piedfort proof striking in sterling silver.

The design of the reverse is derived from the broighter boat - a gold cetic ornamental boat found in Co Derry at the end of the 19th century.

This coin is in proof FDC condition. This coin is so recent that collectors should expect only to collect an FDC example.

The currency striking of this coin is easily available in choice uncirculated condition.

The small marks on the image are flecks of dust on the scanner glass not the coin - (tip : clean your scanner before scanning proof coins).

This coin was issued in a millennium branded presentation case.
